Plan your visit to the Schaumburg Farmers Market

Every Friday morning, the Trickster Cultural Center lot turns into one of the busiest gathering spots in Schaumburg Town Square. Vendors set up by 7 AM, the music starts early, and families, chefs, and food lovers from across the northwest suburbs come through before the day heats up. It is stroller and wheelchair accessible, there are portable restrooms on site, and parking is free in the lot right next to the market. Most vendors take cards, but it is smart to bring a little cash just in case.

"We're not just pouring coffee on Fridays. We're part of people's weekend routine - same booth, same faces, week after week. That's the whole reason we do 250+ markets a year."

— Eli Coleman, Co-Founder and Head Roaster at Gigawatt Coffee Roasters.
Good to Know
Vendors rotate week to week, so the lineup is never exactly the same twice. For the live, week-of vendor list and the season's programming, the Village of Schaumburg posts updates at Schaumburg.com/FarmersMarket.

Who Runs the Schaumburg Farmers Market

The Schaumburg Farmers Market is organized by the Village of Schaumburg, which has run the market for years as a free, family-friendly community event. The Village handles vendor coordination and books the weekly entertainment and community booths, from local music acts to the Master Gardeners and township organizations. It's held in Schaumburg Town Square at the Trickster Cultural Center. You may also see it listed as the Olde Schaumburg Centre Farmers Market - that is the same Friday market at the same Town Square spot, just the older name for the location.

Market dates, hours, and location confirmed from the Village of Schaumburg's official farmers market page. (Village of Schaumburg)

It is worth lingering with a coffee in hand.

What to Bring to the Schaumburg Farmers Market

Want to make your Friday morning market run a little smoother? A few smart moves can help you beat the rush , enjoy your favorite vendors , and leave with your bags full. Whether you’re swinging by before work or making a day of it, here’s how to have your best market morning:

  • Bring your reusable bags — you’ll fill them fast

  • Most vendors accept cards , but some are cash-only

  • Dress for the weather — it’s open rain or shine

  • Leave pets and wheels at home (no bikes or scooters)

  • Come hungry and curious — there’s a lot to explore

What is Fresh Through the Season

No two Fridays look exactly alike. Early summer brings strawberries, leafy greens, and potted herbs. By mid-season, tables overflow with tomatoes, sweet corn, peaches, and big bouquets. As fall rolls in, expect apples, squash, cider, and cozy baked goods. Because vendors update their offerings weekly, there's always something new to discover.

What We're Brewing at the Market

We're at the Schaumburg Farmers Market every Friday at booth 28, pouring fresh all morning. We rotate what we brew week to week, but you can almost always count on our Kite & Key Blend — a smooth, bold crowd-pleaser that's never bitter. We're one of the small share of roasters worldwide, estimated at around 1%, that uses  fluid bed air roasting, which strips away the chaff that causes bitter, burnt flavors. On a hot Friday, the nitro cold brew goes fast. Not sure what to try? Stop by for a free sample and ask what we're pouring that day.

From the Booth
Look for the Gigawatt tent at booth 28. If it's your first visit, start with Kite & Key — smooth, bold, never bitter. We'll happily point you toward everything else worth grabbing while you're there.
