Wednesdays just got a whole lot better. The Elmhurst Farmers Market — the midweek pick-me-up DuPage County has been showing up for over 25 years — kicks off its 2026 season on June 3 with a packed roster of 40+ vendors, a dozen new faces, and the same boutique-style energy that's made it a true Elmhurst tradition.

We couldn't be more excited to be part of the 2026 season at the Elmhurst Farmers Market. Here is everything you need to know to plan your Wednesday morning.

Quick Summary

What's New at the Elmhurst Farmers Market in 2026

The 2026 season opens Wednesday, June 3 with a refreshed vendor lineup that includes around 15 brand new vendors alongside returning Elmhurst favorites. This is the market's second season at its new home in the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church parking lot — the market relocated there in 2025, just west of Elmhurst Hospital.

A few categories are noticeably bigger this year. Expect fresh-pressed juices, fresh lemonade, cider donuts, pickled vegetables, roasted nuts, candies, granola, and more jams and jellies than the market has carried in past seasons. Produce is well-represented too, with organic farms bringing in vegetables, fruit, microgreens, and fresh-cut flowers harvested the day before.

Live Music at the market

Live music is part of every Wednesday morning at the Elmhurst Farmers Market.Performances start at 10:30 AM and feature a rotating lineup of localmusicians — folk, rock, jazz, fusion, and everything in between.

Early Summer 2026 Music Lineup:

  • June 10 — Snuffy Brothers
  • June 17 — Jazz Olague
  • June 24 — Scott Madden
  • July 1 — Snuffy Brothers

Additional dates announced weekly — follow @elmhurstfarmersmarket on Instagram for updates.

What You'll Find at the Elmhurst Farmers Market

With 40+ vendors set up across the church parking lot every Wednesday, the Elmhurst Farmers Market packs a lot into its 7 AM to 1 PM window. The format leans boutique — meaning shoppers can move easily between food, produce, and prepared meals without the size and crowd density of a bigger downtown market.

"It's the midweek market that locals plan their Wednesdays around. We're excited to bring fresh-roasted coffee to Elmhurst and become part of that 25-year rhythm."

Here's what you can typically find each Wednesday:

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables from local and Michigan farms

  • Baked goods, breads, focaccias, bagels, donuts, and pastries

  • Cheeses, dairy, eggs, and locally-raised meats

  • Prepared foods like tamales, empanadas, egg rolls, soups, pasta, and homemade pizza

  • Olive oils, dips, jams, jellies, salsas, and condiments

  • Local honey, loose-leaf teas, and seasonal flowers

  • Homemade ice cream, kettle popcorn, and confectionery

  • And of course — fresh, air-roasted coffee from us at Booth 6

From the Booth

One thing we love about Wednesday markets: people grabbing a bag of coffee on their way to work or after a morning walk, and being back in our line two weeks later for the next one. Wednesdays have a different rhythm than weekend markets — quicker, friendlier, more habitual. If you stop by Booth 6, say hi.

Tips for a Great Day at the Elmhurst Farmers Market

A little planning makes the morning easier. The market is walkable and well laid out, but a few practical things will make your trip smoother:

  • Arrive between 7:00 and 9:00 AM for the best selection — bread, baked goods, and produce go quickly

  • Bring a tote or insulated bag for produce, dairy, and frozen items

  • Carry a little cash for the cash-only vendors

  • Leave the dog at home — only service animals are allowed at the market this season

  • Bring a stroller if you have one — the lot is paved and easy to navigate

  • Check the weather — the market is rain or shine, and slightly drizzly Wednesdays often mean shorter lines

What's in Season at the Elmhurst Farmers Market

What you'll find at the market shifts week to week. Early June brings asparagus, spring greens, radishes, herbs, microgreens, and the first strawberries. Mid-summer is peak market season — peaches, sweet corn, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, summer squash, and fresh-cut flowers. Late summer into fall brings apples, pears, peppers, eggplant, fall greens, pumpkins, squash, and seasonal baked goods like cider donuts and apple cider.

Many vendors rotate their offerings as the months change — so the market in June looks meaningfully different than the market in October. That's part of the fun.

Good to Know

The market sits in the parking lot of Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church at 149 W. Brush Hill Rd — just west of Elmhurst Hospital. The church lot is the most direct parking; street parking on Brush Hill Rd is also typically available, especially after 9 AM when early shoppers start heading home.

What We're Brewing at Booth #6

Meet Eli · Co-Founder, Gigawatt Coffee Roasters

"I'm Eli Coleman, owner of Gigawatt Coffee Roasters along with my wife Jennifer. We founded Gigawatt Coffee Roasters back in 2020. I was a private investigator for over 20 years and traveled all over the country — and the one thing I noticed is I couldn't get a good cup of coffee in a lot of the places I traveled, and when I did, it tended to be overpriced. We decided we could make better quality, affordable coffee for people, and Gigawatt Coffee Roasters was born."

📝 Read the full transcript

We've got a great selection of coffee — no coffee on the table is identical to the next one. So we have everything from dark roast espresso to light roast Costa Rican, plus our newest feature: a canned cold brew for instant gratification.

One of the things that makes us unique is that we air-roast our coffee. That means there's forced hot air through a chamber — no contact heat that burns the beans. It's cleaner, lower acidity, and it tastes much better.

You can find us at gigawattcoffeeroasters.com 24/7 365 and order up coffee shipped right to your door. And if you're in Elmhurst, we do free local delivery on 2 bags or more.

I just gotta say — I love Elmhurst Farmers Market. Great community. I have roots here, tons of my friends went to York. I live in the next town over, right on the border in Bensenville. It's just a great time at the farmers market every day we're here."

— Eli Coleman, Co-Founder & Head Roaster, Gigawatt Coffee Roasters

We're bringing the same thing we bring to every market: fresh-roasted, air-roasted coffee that isn't bitter or burnt. You can grab a hot cup to sip while you shop, or take home a 10-oz bag of whole bean or ground coffee to last the week.

We roast fresh in small batches throughout the week and ship within 24–48 hours, so the coffee you bring home from Elmhurst is days old, not months old. That freshness is what makes the difference between coffee that tastes alive and coffee that tastes like a hotel lobby.

Not sure what to try? Start with our Kite & Key Blend — our best-selling, never-bitter favorite. Smooth enough to drink black, rich enough for your favorite creamer.
